(why we do it)

The Word of God is loaded with wonderful and valid promises about how prayer can change our life situations. Prayer is like taking medicine when you are sick. Get prayer frequently and keep receiving prayer until you are healed.

James 5:13-15 tells us to pray for healing:
"Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven."

The single most important thing to believe is that it is God’s will to heal you. That is the reason that we operate a healing room!

Isaiah 53: 4-5 clearly states that Jesus paid for our healing through his death on the cross:
“Surely he has borne our griefs (sickness, weakness) and carried our sorrows and pains… But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement, peace and well being for us was upon Him and with the stripes that wounded Him we are healed and made whole” (Amplied Version).

More than 39 stripes were put on the back of Jesus and as he took each one he was thinking about you and I and paying the price to heal cancer, arthritis, diabetes, or whatever problem you may face. The healing has already been accomplished all we need to do is lift the name of Jesus above disease and continue to pray mightily.

The life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ restored man to a new relationship with God. Through the blood of Jesus, prayer is the weapon used to represent God on earth. We are his agents, free to use his authority to shape our world.

“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well" (Mark 16:17-18).
